City: Barcelona cracks down on bare torsos in public
Friday, July 2nd 2010Dressing down is a no-no in Barcelona this summer. City authorities have begun a widespread, multi-lingual campaign to prevent residents and tourists, both male and female, from baring their torsos in public.
Leaflets are being handled out by the police under the title ‘Stop anti-social behaviour’ and posters are being put up across the city’s public transport network and in libraries, markets, hotels and restaurants encouraging the public to cover up.
